Youth Day Camps

These day camps are designed for sailors aged 7 to 15.

Camps run from 8:30am-4:00pm Monday to Friday.

We offer a range of levels for beginners to more experienced sailors.

CanSail Wet Feet

This program is designed as a gentle introduction to sailing for children aged 7 to 8. The program is a combination of sailing and land-based activities. Learning in a safe and fun environment is our main consideration. Participants use the Optimist dinghy, a very small and stable, single sailboat.

CanSail Levels 2 & 3

For beginner sailors 9 and up. This program begins with fundamental skills acquisition.

CanSail Levels 4 & 5

This program continues from CanSail 1,2 and focuses on the consolidation of applied skills.

Equipment needed: lunch, snack, water, Cdn. D.O.T. approved PFD (with whistle attached), hat, sunglasses with tie band, sun screen, towel, swimsuit & extra clothing.

Schedules and registration forms coming soon.

Junior Regatta

On August 10th and 11th, all youth participants are encouraged to attend our Junior Regatta.  This will be two days of sailing, games and races followed by a potluck family barbecue.

Adult Learn To Sail

Our instructor team is available to book private or group adult lessons. If you are interested please contact Gordon Milley, a CanSail trained instructor, or post a request for instruction in our Crew Bank.

We will not be arranging adult courses at set times though the summer. It is up to individuals to arrange lessons with the instructor directly. We recommend a private lessons rate of $60/hr for a single or $80/hr. for a couple, however negotiation of rate and payment must be made directly with the instructor.
