In Memory of Molly KurvinkAs a way of honouring Molly’s love of sailing and her many years of teaching and mentoring young sailors, The Yellow Rose Scholarship is a one week tuition grant for the Learn To Sail Camp at the Guelph Community Boating Club. One scholarship will be awarded in each calendar year and will be awarded to a female (identifies as female) student sailor under the age of 18 (on or before December 31 of the year of application). Must apply directly to the Guelph Community Boating Club Sailing School before June 1st of each year. The application shall consist of the applicant stating five reasons why the applicant wants to take sailing lessons and one reason why they deserve the scholarship. The successful applicant shall be chosen between June 1st and July 1st by a Scholarship Committee consisting of: The current Learn To Sail Directors The Current hired Sailing Instructors The Current Commodore If no applications are submitted before June 1st, an awardee will be chosen retroactively from the current year’s students at the end of all sessions for the year, by the Scholarship Committee.
